Ingredients
For Malpua Batter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
- 2 tbsp semolina (suji)
- 2 tbsp milk powder
- 1 mashed banana (optional for softness)
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 1 cup milk
- Sugar as needed

For Sugar Syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2-3 crushed cardamoms
- Few saffron strands (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare Sugar Syrup
- Add sugar and water to a pan.
- Cook for 5–7 minutes until slightly sticky.
- Add cardamom and saffron.

Step 2: Make Batter
- In a bowl, mix flour, suji, milk powder, banana, and cardamom powder.
- Slowly add milk and make a smooth batter.
- Rest the batter for 15–20 minutes.
Step 3: Fry Malpua
- Heat ghee or oil in a pan.
- Pour a small ladle of batter into the pan.
- Cook on medium flame until golden brown from both sides.
- Remove and dip into warm sugar syrup for 1 minute.
